"A house of decorative arts whose, value the changes of time cannot affect" “Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is as important as how we have lived.” Decorative artifacts and period furniture add a personality to your home. These objects serve as a trip down memory lane. Every period in history had their own unique style of furniture and decorative arts. In a modern home, these objects add a sense of aesthetic and beauty. Each piece has a story, a song of nostalgia along with it. The upcoming exhibition of furniture and decorative arts at Legacy is a tribute to nostalgia and beauty. It would feature timeless objects of art and collectables of bygone eras and furniture to ignite our aesthetic sensibilities and innate artistic rhythm in our lives. The exhibition would be held between 8th to 30th September. There is an obvious appeal to decorative arts as they have a certain story to tell. Besides the obvious aesthetic appeal, one gets to glimpse a myriad of cultural anthropology. Every object tells a well – documented story. Early prints and lithographs from the Raj and books would also be featured. Certain rare paintings by old masters would also be put to display .What makes this collection rare and wonderful is that they are not merely objet d'art, but a revelation of grace and beauty. The exhibition would also feature hand crafted furniture, designed by Chisel Arts, an initiative by Amitabh Bachhawat. He is a reputed designer of fine hand crafted furniture for a high end global audience. Each piece is made using traditional methods, employing the designs from the past to suit a more modern lifestyle. This rare and wonderful collection is not merely objet d'art, but a revelation of grace and beauty.
