Profile:
Wasim Kapur through his works explores the dark and murkier side of life. His works transform the seemingly unreal with a strange sense of reality. His works transfers the viewers into stranger worlds. He His Christ crucifixion series earned him quite a name. His ‘victim’ series from 1984 depicts the hardships of prostitutes who have been abused and mistreated, emanating from a body of degradation. His recent ‘Nude’ series of 2006 reveals the beauty of the female form. His recent work ‘Sands of Time’ depicts Bollywood and Tollywood actresses in all their glamour. Wasim Kapur is constantly evolving as an artist.
