Ramlal Dhar

(b.1970)

Dhar has been formally trained in his craft from Govt. College of Craft, followed by Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs de Nice. At present he is teaching in the Govt. College of Art & Craft. He has held solo exhibitions in almost all major cities of India and abroad in Cannes, Milan Nice. He has had numerous group shows  but some of the  important recent  ones include   landscapes & Contemporary Indian painting , Art Motifs, new Delhi in 2002, Portrait of a Decade, 10th anniversary  Show, CIMA Gallery, Kolkata in 2003, Stroke and Chisel , Birla Academy, in 2005 and Annual Show at Gallery La Mere, Kolkata in 2006.

He has been awarded by the Oriental Society of Art, Kolkata in ?77, Govt. College of Art & Craft from ?71 ??74 as well as The Lions Club , France. He has participated in several seminars, executed number of murals in France and India. His works are in the collection of NGMA, New Delhi, Alliance Francaise de Calcutta, Tata Steel, Bharat Bhawan to name a few.
