SHIPPING & COLLECTION POLICY
Aakriti Art Gallery is pleased to assist collectors in arranging the collection and transportation of artworks; however, the gallery is not a shipping or logistics provider.
Collection of Artwork
Purchased artworks may be collected directly from Aakriti Art Gallery by the buyer or by an authorized representative nominated by the buyer. Any such representative may be required to provide proof of identity and authorization prior to release of the artwork.
Third-Party Shipping
At the buyer’s request, Aakriti Art Gallery may assist in coordinating shipment through independent third-party logistics providers, packers, freight forwarders, or fine-art transportation companies. Such assistance is provided solely as a convenience to the buyer.
The buyer is free to appoint and engage any logistics provider of their choice for the packing, transportation, insurance, export, customs clearance, and delivery of the artwork.
Risk and Responsibility
All shipping, packing, insurance, transportation, customs duties, taxes, storage charges, import fees, and related expenses shall be borne solely by the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Once an artwork has been released to the buyer, the buyer’s representative, or a third-party logistics provider nominated by the buyer, all risk of loss, damage, delay, theft, deterioration, or destruction shall pass to the buyer.
Aakriti Art Gallery shall not be responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, negligence, or performance of any third-party shipping, packing, storage, customs, or transportation service provider.
Insurance
Buyers are strongly advised to obtain appropriate transit and storage insurance coverage for all artworks from the time they are collected or released for shipment.
International Shipments
International buyers are responsible for complying with all import regulations, customs requirements, taxes, duties, permits, and documentation requirements applicable in their destination country.
Certain artworks may be subject to export regulations or other legal restrictions. Where applicable, the gallery will provide reasonable assistance in supplying available documentation but cannot guarantee export approval by government authorities.
Inspection Upon Receipt
Buyers should inspect artworks immediately upon receipt.
Any concerns regarding shipping damage, packaging damage, or loss in transit must be reported directly to the appointed logistics provider and insurer. Such claims should be supported by photographs and relevant documentation.
Returns and Refunds
Due to the unique nature of original artworks, all sales are generally considered final.
Requests for cancellation, return, exchange, or refund will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and solely at the discretion of Aakriti Art Gallery.
Any approved return request must be submitted in writing within seven (7) days of receipt of the artwork and must include supporting documentation.
Refunds, where approved, shall be processed only after the artwork has been returned, inspected, and accepted by the gallery.
