Calling for artists

Posted by artseek on April 8, 2010 at 12:30pm

A rendezvous of young creative minds across the globe to come together and set a new discourse in contemporary visual arts is exactly what GenNext can be surmised as. The idea of GenNext was conceptualized as an initiative to pave the path and enunciate the voices of young generation artists. And gradually it evolved as the annual show of the Aakriti Art Gallery, Kolkata. The first show was hosted in 2006 on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Aakriti Art Gallery and since then every year in the month of October, GenNext is a gala celebration with the mission to cater the artistic endeavour and aspiration of the young contemporaries who will become the legends of tomorrow.

A painter, sculptor, printmaker, photographer, video art and installation creator below forty years bubbling with innovative energy to explore their skill and ability through their ideal medium can send their work of art and profile as soft copy to the Aakriti Art

Gallery and compete to be selected as a participant for the fifth anniversary of the GenNext show that is to be held in October 2010. The interested artists may send in their works and profile within the last day of the month of June this years for the final selection.
